Week 6 Assignment: Webpage design for AeroBlue Jets

Week 6 Assignment: Webpage Design

Here's a design that I created for my webpage assignment. I am still thinking of a better design with a lighter background, but since I don't have that much time to work on it, I think this will be good for now.

Week 5 Assignment: Illustrations showing Rule of Thirds, Symmetrical & Asymmetrical designs

1. Rule of Thirds

This design is for iPhone users. I design this specifically for myself since I own an iPhone, but I think some other women or girls might like it too.

2. Symmetrical

A postage stamp for everyone, maybe more for the female.

3. Asymmetrical

My target clients for this bag are the women or girls who are big fans of sports, specifically hockey. I'm a big hockey fan myself and the girl I drew here is wearing a hockey jersey similar to that of the LA Kings.

Logo and Business Card

Here's a sample of business card for myself. For now, I just want it simple and straight to the point, but would still want to come up with something more creative later on.

Assignment 1 - ELEMENTS OF DESIGN

ELEMENTS OF DESIGN

Below are images showing different elements of design:

I like how this simple illustration using negative space can show two different images. The swimmer and the fish.

The image of the sunset shows different elements of design. One of which is value, I like how the sun shows a varying degree of brightness and darkness not only to itself but also to its surroundings. Also, even though there really isn't any line on the horizon, the boundary between the water and the sky created that illusion (implied line). Another element is the round shape of the sun and the rectangular shapes of the ocean and sky.

This image shows elements of color and distortion, and the woman's face was represented in an abstract way.

Linear patterns can be used to direct physical movement, as well as eye movement. In this image, lines helped to draw attention towards the central area of the garden.

The shapes and forms of the branches of this tree show important elements of design. I can see curvilinear shapes, realism and color.

I like how this image shows a consistent pattern of texture. Designers use images like this as a background on their designs.

Color is a very powerful element of design. The color of the flowers bring so much life and beauty to the world. It also helps classify or identify a group of objects. A person who is familiar with the names of flowers and plants would be able to easily identify this flower by looking at the color and form. In our homes, color affects the personality and style of our house's interior.

Some of my favorite Artwork

These are some of the artwork that I created for fun!

I love to draw and drawing people is one of my favorites. My style is more feminine and I specifically like images of cute girls or fashionable women. Below is a good example of just basically some drawings that I did for fun.

The below are sample mock-ups for a website. I did these only for practice.
